Education is the foundation of a brighter future—and at MindMe International, we’re building that foundation one solar-powered library at a time.
Our Solar-Powered Tech Community Libraries serve children aged 10 to 18, providing safe spaces where they can study, access books, and explore digital learning tools. These libraries, built from refurbished shipping containers, run entirely on solar power, making them environmentally friendly and accessible even in off-grid areas.
But these spaces are more than just study hubs—they’re also engines of women’s empowerment. We train and employ local women as managers and facilitators, giving them economic opportunities, building leadership skills, and strengthening their roles in community development.
“This library has helped our children gain more time and space to continue learning. My son has been able to excel in his studies through this facility gaining him very good marks to attend Starehe Boys Center. I am truly grateful for MMI and supporting partners for this facility. I pray that we can get many more facilities for access to quality education in Kenya as they are our future.” - Mary Anne Wangui, Parent.
When children are given the tools to learn and women are equipped to lead, the results are transformative. Education fosters ambition and innovation in youth, while empowered women invest back into their families and neighborhoods. Together, they create a ripple effect of progress that touches every corner of the community.
At MindMe International, we are proud to blend education and economic empowerment into a single initiative with lasting impact. With your support, we can expand these libraries and bring hope to more communities.
