    Solar-Powered Tech Community Libraries

Join us in lighting up futures.

Laibu Mtaani is a bold initiative transforming access to quality education by establishing community-led, solar-powered tech libraries across Kenya. Designed as safe and inclusive study hubs for students aged 10 to 18, each library is housed in a refurbished shipping container, making them easy to set up, cost-effective, and standardized for communities in both urban and rural areas.

These innovative spaces are more than just libraries; they are centers of opportunity, equipped with learning materials, reliable solar-powered electricity, and internet connectivity. By integrating renewable energy, Laibu Mtaani ensures students have uninterrupted access to digital resources, educational tools, and a quiet environment to learn, grow, and thrive. This initiative brings the vision of SDG 4 – Quality Education to life by breaking barriers to learning and creating equitable spaces where no child is left behind.

Whether you're an educator, donor, partner organization, or concerned citizen, your support can help us expand these libraries to even more communities. Partner with us, sponsor a library, or donate today—and be part of a movement giving every child the power to learn.
